Homages Pour In for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

More than two weeks after the tragic deaths of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones continue to honor the duo.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, explained he finally felt able to share openly about his profound loss.

"Adequate time has gone by that I can finally articulate my loss into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his first meeting with Reiner created an instant bond. "As we began sharing more moments together I knew this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor posted never-before-seen clips from the film, commenting that he cannot recall "one day without mirth".

"This story is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the best person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I remember you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a distinct essay, legendary director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with everyone, and he grasped the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese added.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles superior court judge ruled to block the disclosure of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, at the request from the LAPD.

A judicial mandate placed a security hold on the investigation to restrict the public release of "related notes, notes, reports or photos" associated with the probe.

The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the result of murder, with a official listing listing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Fallout and Commentary

After the tragedy, public personalities offered divergent reactions.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, offering divisive claims that were widely condemned by numerous commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his criticism to the detractors recently. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan characterized the comments as "disappointing" and suggested they demonstrated a concerning deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by remarking that an associate should have stepped in when the choice to speak on the death was made.
